Sarpsborg organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
"Forbausende byfest" hvor en gate med gateparkering og smale fortau stenges for biltrafikk og fylles med ulike aktiviteter, boder og kulturelle innslag. I tillegg anlegges det sykkelfelt i Hans Nielsen Hauges gate og Follogata på bekostning av gateparkering. Dette gir sykkelfelt til en ungdomsskole, en videregående skole, idrettshall og svømmehall.

Sarpsborg carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Glengsgata fra Kirkegata til Lilletorvet. 250 meter av en viktig tverrgata til gågata. Dette er en av gatene med flest butikker i Sarpsborg sentrum. Gata har ensidig gateparkering, toveis trafikk og relativt smale fortau.
