Cesena organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
All initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Cesena are linked by the need to rethink the public spaces of the city by living in a different way, on foot or by bicycle.
For this reason, the European Week in Cesena is inaugurated by a group of cyclists crossing the new cycle-pedestrian underpass that has been recently redeveloped by groups of children and volunteers:
an urban space which is returned to the city in a new form!
In the same spirit will be organized groups of urban walkers along new paths within the territory.
Finally, the Municipality has decided to dedicate the main event of the Week to the SUSTANIBLE MOBILITY FOR SCHOOLS organizing a Festival with the slogan “With my feet and bike I color my town - If I live I know, if I know I love her, if I love her I care!".

Car-free day Car-free day

Cesena carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

A number of different walks start from Cesena to other municipalities of the hill towards the sea in Cesenatico city. The goal of the initiative is to promote physical activity as an effective response against the disease, to improve the quality of life and the air we BREATHE! The issue, therefore, is the health of citizens and the importance of engaging in first person every day to improve the quality of life in our cities.
