Bologna organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

Given the theme of this year, "Our streets our choice", during the week
end of the European Mobility Week, 3 Social Streets of Bologna will be involved in a weekend of enlarged pedestrianization, where the streets are empty of traffic and filled with activities relating to sustainable mobility .

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)

Car-free day Car-free day

Bologna carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
During the week end the T-area is open only to pedestrians and bicycles.
An exhibition to promote alternative mobility will be organized in Piazza Maggiore, with a corner dedicated to electric mobility, accompanied by numerous events and road shows with the involvement of citizens and the participation of local governament
