Tartu organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
During the Week of 16-22 September, members of the Tartu Police Force will share bicycle lights with cyclists travelling at night.

On 21 September from 11.00 - 15.00 a range of activities for citizens will be held, including:

A chance for children to design their own reflector
Citizens can take a trip by "river tram" (on Emajõgi river)
Design city bicycle market
Citizens will have the option to try out Segways, electric bikes, and "skyrunners"
Extreme cyclists will perform tricks, incorporating cars into their act
Free of charge bicycle service
Traffic tests

Stakeholders from across the city are involved in the Mobility Week actions, including:

Tartu city government
Tartu Seikluspark
Eksperimental bicycle factory
Anne Noortekeskus
Police
Road Administration

22 September:

Officials from the City Government will take to the streets by bicycle, including the Mayor, Deputy Mayors and other specialists. They will cycle around the town, checking bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, with an emphasis on newly built infrastructure, and problematic places for pedestrians and cyclists.
