kyparissia carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Most of the streets in the historical city centre are restricted to private car, due to their width and the presence of stairs.
Moreover, several streets in the city centre have been reformed to pedestrian streets: in the historical centre, near the city's central square, the main shopping street, etc.
The aforementioned streets create a wide network of pedestrian streets, connecting the castle, the historical centre, the shopping area, the central square and the park to the port and the seaside of the city.
