Activities within the week Activities within the week

Östersund (City of Östersund) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
During the Mobility 35-40 activities will be held in Ostersund with 60 partners. The week starts with a photo happening on this year's theme. Other activities that are arranged are a climate seminar, electric car exhibition, learn to ride a bike for young people with an immigrant background, walking tours, openings/inagurations, thanks to bikers, hang on on Rådhusgatan, bike event, Hare & Tortoise, competitions, art exhibitions on the bus and parking area, stick graffiti, awards and much more.

Under trafikantveckan arrangeras ca 35-40 aktiviteter i Östersund tillsammans med ett 60-tal partners. Veckan startar med en fotohappening på årets tema. Fler aktiviteter som ordnas är ett klimatseminarium, elbilsutställning, lär dig cykla för ungdomar med invandrarbakgrund, stadsvandring, invigningar, tack till cyklister, häng på avstängda Rådhusgatan, cykelevent, Haren & sköldpaddan, tävlingar, konstutställningar på buss och p-plats, stickgraffiti, prisutdelningar, och mycket mera.

Östersund (City of Östersund) implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

New or improved bicycle facilities

Car-free day Car-free day

Östersund (City of Östersund) carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On September 20 the "In town without my car" is organized and the inner-city is closed to motor vehicles between the hours of 10:00 to 14:00.

On September 21 the street Rådhusgatan is closed between the hours of 09:00 to 17:00 in order to arrange activities!

Den 20/9 organiseras I stan utan min bil, då är innerstaden avstängd för motorfordon mellan kl 10.00-14.00.

Den 21/9 stänger vi även av Rådhusgatan mellan kl 09.00-17.00 för att arrangera aktiviteter!
