Kalmar organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
We will arrange Three Days with different themes;

Theme 1 = Sustainable transportation with seminars and exhibition of new sustainable vehicles
Theme 2 = Physical activity and health with competitions, information about health related to activity and diverse information about bicycling
Theme 3 = "Our streets - our choice"

Det blir tre dagar med olika teman;

Tema 1 = Hållbara transporter med seminarier och utställning av nya hållbara fordon
Tema 2 = Fysisk aktivitet och hälsa med tävling, information om hälsa i samband med aktivitet och mångsidig information om cykling
Tema 3 = "Våra gator - vårt val"

Kalmar implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)

Car-free day Car-free day

Kalmar carries out a Car-Free Day 2014 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Event related to this years theme in EMW. Restriction for cars/no cars allowed on a street in central Kalmar on Saturday 20 September.
Different activities, e g town gardening, auction, music, picnic-area, information about bicycling in Kalmar and sustainable transportation and more.

Lördag 20 september 2014 kl. 09:00–16:00 stängs Södra Långgatan av för all trafik. Gatan stängs av från Larmgatan till Västra Sjögatan och parkeringen hävs tillfälligt. Avstängningen innebär att du inte kan köra eller parkera din bil längs gatan under tiden. Vi hänvisar dig istället till närliggande gator.
