Chemnitz organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2014, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Auch in diesem Jahr stehen Kinder und Jugendliche im Mittelpunkt der Aktivitäten von Stadt und dem regionalen Verkehrsunternehmen VMS. Bei "Entdeckertouren" lernen sie das Mobilitätszentrum kennen und besuchen zu Fuß sowie mit Bus und Bahn Museen und die Stadtbibliothek. Vor den Städtischen Kunstsammlungen können mit Kreide "Mobile Bilder" gemalt werden. Bei der Aktion "Klimakiste" im Umweltzentrum wird ihnen nahe gebracht, was der Verkehr für den Klimanwandel bedeutet. Mit Bus- und Tramschule sowie Bastelarbeiten werden die Kinder an die Nutzung des Nahverkehrs heran geführt. Ziel aller Bildungsmaßnahmen ist es, den Kinder und Jugendlichen Alternativen zum Individualverkehr aufzuzeigen.
