Activities within the week Activities within the week

Bernalda organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2015, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Traffic block in Corso Umberto I, from the crossing with Nuova Camarda Street and Cairoli Street to the crossing with Montegrappa Street, from 5,30 p.m. to 12 p.m. throughout the EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK 2015.
All are free to use the city buses during the EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK 2015
Development of all activities planned along Corso Umberto I:
1) Eco-point: there will be an information point dedicated to environmental awareness, illustrating the advantages of sustainable and multimodal mobility through informative workshops and playing videos, according to the focal theme “CHOOSE. CHANGE. COMBINE”
2) Tradition Olympic Games: there will be the performance of some street games typical of our Bernaldese tradition that have gone hand in hand with the childhood of our grandparents and parents, but also of many of us (such as “il gioco della settimana”, “u ndrind’l”, “ iun mbond a lun”, etc.). All the people who want to participate, the “yesterday” children, can use the main road of Bernalda free from cars to have fun, now as then, together with the children of today.
3) Strad’Arte: the places usually occupied by cars will be inspired by the art of street musical art and anyone can bring easel, canvas, paper, colors, ... and create his own work on the theme of sustainable mobility on the canvas or on the asphalt
4) BiciclèTiAmo (Bike I love you): Bike lovers will find some stands dedicated to their passion in order to spread the recreational bicycle culture, where everybody will have the possibility to fix his bike for free, as well as giving, lending or borrowing a bike.
Big Picnic: There will be a big picnic along the pedestrian area with a flash mob and the participation of schools, during which everybody will be able to bring checked tablecloth, chairs, folding tables and picnic baskets to have dinner all together.
