For all week the Botteghe di Castelleone, thanks to the availability of the administrators of the Museum of Velocipidi and Antique Bicycles, a private collection of A. & C. Azzini, will host the “story of the bicycle”, by fitting their shop windows with the bikes and competing with each other.

For all week, under the Portici and during shops opening hours, some playlist chosen by Camilla Seresini about the mobility theme will be transmitted in wired wireless.

Every morning / Cafés

If you go to work by bike during the working days of the mobility week, you can get a refund from the participant company, if you have your breakfast in the cafés which have joined the initiative.

All week - Bike to School
Every morning / Sentati Junior High School

If you go to school by bike during all the mobility week, you could receive a good and handy lock for your bicycle.

Thursday 17th September - Statistical survey of urban cyclists and cycletouristic experience

From 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. / Castelleone

Statistical survey of the cyclists circulating in the town of Castelleone, in four strategical locations of the town : viale Europa, via Cappi, via Don Mazzolari and via Mura Manfredi. This initiative is part of a five-year plan of the Regione Lombardia. The survey will be carried out by young persons of the Oratorio of Castelleone.

Via Roma and Via Garibaldi will be closed to motorized vehicles from 4:00 to 12:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m./Orti Santa Chiara/ I love my bike

Practical laboratory for children relating to the maintenance and a proper use of the bike, held in English by Laura Rossi, who graduated as professional mechanics in the USA, at the Barnett Bicycle Institute of Colorado Springs and the United Bicycle Institute of Portland.

From 5:00 p.m. /Via Roma e Garibaldi/E-cars and Stands

Presentation of electric cars, while associations and cafés are going to set up proper stands for the birthday party of boys and girls who will be 18 years old during 2015.

9:00 p.m./P.zza del Comune/Debut into society

The mobility week hosts the debut into society of the 18 years old inhabitants of Castelleone. An event into the event where the 18 years old boys and girls can meet the voluntary associations of the territory, will receive the Constitution and the street code. A real birthday celebration with a final great silent party!

Saturday 19th September - Bike open day, BiciComune, Shows and Events
Via Roma and Via Garibaldi will be closed to motorized vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Piazza del Comune will be closed to trafic all day.

All day/Castelleone/Bike shopping

If you come shopping by bike to Castelleone, near the Torrazzo and at the Pro Loco (Via Roma) you will receive a card from the volunteers of Late Association which can be used during your shopping to get lottery tickets with rich final prizes. During the day some photographers of Elio Fornasa Fotoclub will take photos of the cyclists, which will be showed in advance on Sunday evening, right before the movie at the Cinema Giovanni Paolo II and from Monday on at the entrance of the town hall. The photos exhibition will be held in the foyer of Leone Theatre on Tuesday evening.

The market will be present all day in via Roma to cheer up the visitors.

As done last year, the exhibition of the bikes found by the County Police will take place in Piazza del Comune. Hoping your bike can “come back home safely”, you can register it to make it more traceable and safe!

The BiciComune project is really getting going. Delivery of the first bicycles repaired by the famous cycle workshop Dagalole thanks to Crema Fiab, to municipal employees who will be using them for their sustainable transfers in the towns. All this according to the agreement made by the towns of Castelleone and Crema.

11:00 a.m./Piazza del Comune/BiciSociali

BiciSociali is a project of the Comune of Castelleone, consisting in donating 5 bicycles (found and kept for long time in the municipal stores) to the Cooperativa Ergoterapeutica Artigianale di Crema, the first social cooperative constituted in Crema area which is dealing with the working integration of disadvantaged people with physical and mental handicaps.

4:00 p.m./Piazza del Comune/Imbalplast show

Cycling show by young employees of Imbalplast, in memory of their friend Alessandro Maggi to whom is dedicated the European mobility week of Castelleone and Crema.

4:30 p.m./Piazza del Comune/Snack for all children

Don Felipe is offering a free snack to all children, awaiting the next shows

5:00 p.m./Piazza del Comune/El Turass show “I am going to fetch you tonight...by bike”

In the piazza del Comune a fantastic show in dialect, heading “I am going to fetch you tonight....strolling by bike”, performed by the acting company El Turass. Of course, we are expecting all of you will arrive by bike!

7:00 p.m./Piazza del Comune/Award Ceremony for the “bikes in the showcase” competition

Ceremony to award the shop winner of the competition “Bikes in the showcase”, for the best lay out of the historical bikes belonging to the Azzini Family.

9:00 p.m./Piazza del Comune/Spettacolo Danse Etoile

Danse Etoile a.s.d., the dancing school of Castelleone, offers a great show for adults and children on the theme of mobility. You really can’t miss this event.


Sunday 20th September - Discover Castelleone....by bike

Via Roma and Via Garibaldi will be closed to motorized vehicles from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Piazza del Comune will be closed to trafic all the day.

10:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m./Castelleone/ Discover Castelleone...by bike

Departure by bike from Piazza del Comune towards Santa Maria in Bressanoro (the beautiful church consecrated to the Virgin) and to the discovery of its territory. In this occasion, thanks to the precious availability and collaboration of Doctor Anna Emilia Galeotti Vertua, it will be possibile to admire the magnificent affrescoes dedicated to the martyrs and to Saint Francesco, which are nowadays kept in the agritourism Santa Maria in Bressanoro, in a room just beside the church.

Monday 21st September - Mobility into disability and Sport Galà
Via Roma and Via Garibaldi will be closed to motorized vehicles from 4:00 to 12 p.m.
Piazza del Comune will be closed to trafic all day.

From 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. /Castelleone / Mobility into disability

Identification, statistical survey, study and design of safe routes in town for persons with disability.
Project for the removal of architecural barriers.

Another event in the event. The Association Il Borgo will organize the Galà of the Sports with the participation of famous guests.

In Piazza del Comune, closed to motorized vehicles during the European day “in town without my car”, the event “lessons in town” will take place. Students of the Istituto Scolastico Sentati will listen to the lessons taught by the County Police, concerning road safety regulations on two wheels.
