Timisoara organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2015, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
The City Hall of Timișoara will organize a week of activities dedicated to the Week of Mobility.
Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
This event aims at promoting local policies, initiatives and best practices related to sustainable urban mobility. It also aims at raising awareness about the downside of certain tendencies in urban mobility, namely the negative impact on the environment and the quality of life. In this frame of reference, all participants in city traffic are invited to take part in a European-level campaign.
A special emphasis is placed on the local sustainable urban transport policies, especially on launching long-term policies and adopting permanent measures in this respect.

New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)

Car-free day Car-free day

Timisoara carries out a Car-Free Day 2015 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
September 22nd will be celebrated as a car-free day, by closing the traffic in the area bordered by the pedestrian crossing of Regele Ferdinand Blvd. and the one at the corner of 20 Decembrie St. and C.D. Loga Blvd. Sport demonstrations will be organized in this area, for the general public.
