Leerdam organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
- a whole where cyclists can take part in the bicycle count.
- a whole week where kids are stimulated to go by foot or bike to school.
- free public transport by bus on the 17th of September
- Monday September 19th - their is a special safety training for people who do use a mobility scooter organised by the volunteers of the Dutch Road Safety Union
- Thursday.
The Right Pressure For Your Tire’ On this event car drivers are advised in practise to check the pressure of the tires more often in order to save fuel, and money and avoid air pollution.

Leerdam implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

As the city is famous because of his glas-blowing factory and history we are developping a special route for pedastrians to bridge the distance between the museum and factory.
