The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
Actions relative to the theme:
The Mobility Week in Oslo will take place at Fridtjof Nansens plass, the large cobblestine area in front of the Town Hall. This area will be closed to traffic all week long. Some of the highlights are as follows:
* Park(ing) Week (a full week of Park(ing) Day with artistic installations, play areas, skateboard ramp, extra public benches, extended al fresco, bocce court, etc.
* DYANI skateboard school and skate shows with world champion on Bomb Drop and Free Fall, Adil Dyani
* Bicycle workshop: fix your bike for free
* Exclusively for the mobility week: a double city bike stand with 20 city bikes will be placed at Fridtjof Nansens plass
* An interactive mobility office profiling mobility projects in town, such as the app "Trafikkagenten", new bicycle lanes, etc.
*A full day seminar named "In the city without a car"
* Outdoor gym class with TV coach Yngvar Andersen

Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The area in front of the Town Hall will be closed to traffic

Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Develop public bicycle hiring and sharing systems
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
Public transport services
  • Improvement and extension of the public transport network (creation of HOV lanes for public transport modes, new stops, new lines, reserved areas etc)
