Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Car Free Day Indy is a Commuter Connect-sponsored event taking place on International Car Free Day - September 22, 2016. On Car Free Day Indy, Commuter Connect encourages residents to be car free/car-lite and minimize car usage through carpooling & vanpooling, riding transit, biking, or walking.
To participate, residents can pledge to be car free/car-lite on September 22nd by filling out the pledge form at the website.
Once they pledge, they’ll receive a Commuter Connect Ticket to their mobile phone or tablet with details on Car Free Day Indy events. On Car Free Day Indy, they can redeem the Commuter Connect Ticket for a FREE Emergency Ride Home pass and learn how Commuter Connect can help them find a carpool match. Everyone who pledges is also entered in a raffle for prizes. Each of three Car Free Day Indy locations will feature special events that day.
