København (Greater Copenhagen) organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
21st of September: Many train stations do not have adequate bike facilities. Passagerpulsen wants to change this.

In collaboration with the Cyclist Union they are arranging an event at Copenhagen Central Station from 12-2 PM, where you can participate in a vote about which issues passengers in Copenhagen prioritize the most.

After this you can meet the chairman of the Cyclist Union, Klaus Bondam, and the chairman of Tænk (Passagerpulsen is a part of this organization), Anja Philip.

The event will conclude with the results of the vote and discussions being taken to DSB (Danish State Railways) and Copenhagen Municipality.

The event is arranged by Passagerpulsen and the Cyclist Union.

Car-free day Car-free day

København (Greater Copenhagen) carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
CAR FREE SUNDAY - HELD ON SEPTEMBER 18th.

When the Copenhagen Half Marathon ends at 3 PM, several streets in Copenhagen are turned into a living space without cars.

Streets that will shut down: Østerbrogade, Strandboulevarden, Nørrebrogade (including Dronning Louises Bro), Enghavevej and Ingerslevsgade. There will be activities until 8 PM, and the streets will reopen at 9 PM.

The following activities will be available on the car-free day.
