St Anthony’s Street Feast – opening ceremony of a successful pedestrianisation of one of Old Town streets, to celebrate the reuse of public space with new parklets and greenery; community bicycle workshops, free guided tours, kids and hobbies corners, bicycle marking and registration.

Open day at Powstancow Slaskich street tram depot: tram driving course, vintage trams rides, depot guided tours; vintage vehicles and devices exhibition, contests, corners and blood donation mobile unit.

“Art here and now” happening on the main section of one of the most busy streets in the city centre closed to offer space to pedestrians. An event within the framework of European Capital of Culture 2016: many years ago, there was a green space there with lawn and flowers, a temporary lawn covering the asphalt recalls these days. An all-day long picnic as well as cultural activities are proposed to residents on this lawn.

Car-free day Car-free day

Wrocław (Wroclaw) carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
On September, 18 the main section of one of the most busy streets in the city centre is closed to offer space to pedestrians. An event within the framework of European Capital of Culture 2016 takes place there. Many years ago, there was a green space there with lawn and flowers, a temporary lawn covering the asphalt recalls these days. An all-day long picnic as well as cultural activities are proposed to residents on this lawn.
On September,22, for the "Car-Free Day", the public transportation in the city and partially within the agglomeration is free of charge.
