Activities within the week Activities within the week

Stavanger organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
We will have park(ing)-day during the week. That means that we will make park out of some parkingspaces and ask some shops in the city sentre to decorate these parks. We will serve lunsj and encourage the prople to eat the lunsj in a park, make pictures and send in to an Instagram competition.
We will also launch quotations on some pedestrian streets in Stavanger to thank the people going to work, busstop, school or kindergarden.

Stavanger implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.

We will write quotations on some pedestrian streets to make it nicer for the people going to work, the busstop, school or kindergarden.

Car-free day Car-free day

Stavanger carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
We will arrange "Miljøsøndag - Environmental Sunday" in the city centre of Stavanger. There will be over 50 organizations and others informing the visitors about green mobility, environmental issues and public Health.
