Shkoder organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
Bicycle repair workshop for Shkoder citizens and students.
Specialists of the field will repair and offer trainings for bike users. Through its social media network EUIN will invite classic and vintage bike owners at EMW stands.
The activity will involve citizens using smart and sustainable modes of transport leaving their car home and act responsibly. We aim at modifying Albanians mobility habits, gaining more in terms of health and use of time while biking.

Car-free day Car-free day

Shkoder carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
Massive bicycle ride, including local authorities and city schools, in the main streets of Shkoder city, to promote cycling as an alternative way of transport for a healthier and safer environment. This event aims at raising awareness on the necessary bicycle paths in Shkoder, a city where cycling is wide spread.
