Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.
All week
During this week there is special attention for cyclists. As the city does want everybody to take part in the Fiets Telweek.
-Next to that kids will be stimulated to go to school themself walking or by bike. In this way we do want to stimulate the parents not to bring their kids by car.
- Saturday September the 17th public transport by bus, organised by Arriva is free.
- Wednesday 21st
The Right Pressure For Your Tire’ On this event car drivers are advised in practise to check the pressure of the tires more often in order to save fuel, and money and avoid air pollution.
Permanent measures
Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht implements one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
New or improved bicycle facilities
Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
Pedestrianisation
Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
