Dordrecht organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
- During this week there is special attention for cyclists. As the city does want everybody to take part in the Fiets Telweek.
- kids will be stimulated to go to school themself walking or by bike. In this way we do want to stimulate the parents not to bring their kids by car.
- Friday September 16th
The Right Pressure For Your Tire’ On this event car drivers are advised in practise to check the pressure of the tires more often in order to save fuel, and money and avoid air pollution.
- Saturday September 17th public transport by bus, organised by Arriva is free.
- Monday September 19th National Kick off of Groene Voetstappen by vice mayor Rick van der Linden
- Friday September the 23th their is a special safety training for people who do use a mobility scooter, organised by the Dutch Road Safety Union
- Also on Friday there is a special activity organised by the Labor Party, a neighbourhood, the police and the Dutch Road Safety Union to ask special attention for issues concerning the reduction of car traffic speed.

Smart street light, on a bicylce path in a green area which reacts on passing of cyclists and pedestrians.
