Vila Nova de Gaia organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2016, taking into account the annual theme.

Dia 16 Passeio de Bicicleta Noturno 8ª. Edição
Dias 16 a 22 Ação com o envolvimento de artistas de arte urbana e a população com diversas vertentes: intervenção artística nas fachadas da estação de General Torres, debates sobre a relação entre a mobilidade sustentável, a qualidade de vida da população e o papel do espaço público na adoção de hábitos mais sustentáveis. Pois a utilização de meios de transporte públicos no quotidiano leva a melhorias na saúde individual, à diminuição da poluição do ar e dos níveis de ruído dentro das cidades, trazendo por conseguinte, vantagens para toda a população em termos de saúde e poupanças económicas nos gastos com esta, tornando ainda, a cidade mais atrativa e competitiva.
Este programa poderá ser complementado com a dinamização da área envolvente à Estação de General Torres com a participação de associações culturais e artísticas do Concelho.

Car-free day Car-free day

Vila Nova de Gaia carries out a Car-Free Day 2016 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.
