Farkadona organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2017, taking into account the annual theme.

All week
1. The police’s briefing to the students of the municipal schools on issues related to the traffic education.

2. A bicycle ride for the inhabitants of the Municipality on Sunday 17 September.

3. A daily event called "Small Traffic Policemen". During that day the pupils (after the information they have received from the Police about the Traffic Law and under the supervision of the institutions in charge) will take on the role of the Traffic Policemen, identifying offences on the Traffic Law and editing of "virtual" fines.

1. Because of this year's European Mobility Week theme (Sharing gets you further), the Municipality will pursue the creation of a "car pooling" application on its official web-site.

2. The "Intelligent bus stop”, that offers to users of the Public Transports, the pedestrians and the cyclists:
• A modern aesthetics’ metal shelter, with plexi-glass surfaces and a LED photosensitive lighting.
• A 49“ smart outdoor screen, which displays the websites of the Municipality, of the Public Transport Organization and other useful information (weather, time) at the same time.
• The screen has the ability to display any Internet content or digital material (announcements, tourist information, etc.) and is remote – controlled.
• The bus - stop function as a Wi-Fi hotspot for a free internet signal on mobile phones and tablets of the waiting passengers and of the pedestrians and has a multiple charger for these appliances.
• Bicycle stands will be placed close to the stop for the change of the transport means.
• The screen is put in a special cage, but can be easily converted into a touch screen in order to act as an interactive info-point.
• It has also a solar panel system in order to be energy autonomous.

Car-free day Car-free day

Farkadona carries out a Car-Free Day 2017 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The temporary - symbolic traffic ban on cars on the most central road of the Municipality, on Friday, September 22, in the frame of the "Day without a Car".
