Alba Iulia City Race - The idea of ​​organizing a major athletic event in Alba Iulia to attract athletes and runners from all over the country belonged to Marius Anghel, former director of Unirea Alba Iulia Club, and its implementation took place naturally on March 15, 2014, with the first edition of Alba Iulia City Race, after the completion of works at the jewel of Alba Iulia, Alba Carolina Fortress.
Our main goal is to attract as many people as possible to the race. In recent years, more and more people are also running in our country, proof of their numerous participation in the first edition of Alba Iulia City Race. Slowly, society is changing and the world is beginning to feel the need for a healthy lifestyle, and running is the sport that can be practiced by anyone, each at the level they want.
Our long-term challenge, however, is that every year, Alba Iulia becomes the capital of Romanian athletics through this competition, at least once a year.
