16 September
Bicycle training for the City officers
The training is provided by a local association
17 September
3 bicycle workshops for the public :
1/ Workshop in order to fix old bikes
2/ Workshop in order to engrave an identification number for insurance purposes
3/ a Bike-blender stand : making fruit juice by pedaling

These 3 workshops will be provided by 3 sperate associations and will be held in the same place on the 17th of september
19 September
In France, the 19th of september is the national day of air quality :
A workshop about air quality for children in a school of the city will be held on this day.
This workshop will be conducted by the Sustainable Developement Direction of Bobigny
22 September
Car free day : a street, Promenade Jean Rostand, will be closed off for cars.
Instead of the parking places for cars, there will be local associations who will hold stands related to Sustainable Developpement
And on the street, kids can practice bike with their families.

The day before this car free day : the city of Bobigny will participate in the World Clean Up Day (21 september) and amongst the streets that will be cleaned, the Promenade Jean Rostand street will be one of them, that way it will be clean for the next day.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.

Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Develop public bicycle hiring and sharing systems
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
  • Launch of free-floating bike-sharing schemes
  • Other: Deployement of the french governement programme "learn to bike". This programm allows children from 6 to 11 years old to be autonomous on bikes before going to middle school.
Pedestrianisation
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
  • Other: Testing a pedestrian school pick up service : volunteers (adults) follow a prescribed route in order to take children from their home to school safely on foot.
Public transport services
  • Improvement and extension of the public transport services (express services, increase frequency etc)
  • Launch of integrated services for the various public transport modes

Traffic calming and access control scheme
