Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.

Spokewoman Cycle Tour, 1pm from Herbert Park to College Green - Women focused talks on route.
College Green, 12noon to 4pm:
Free e-bike and cargo bike trials
Mindful walking
Screenings of healthy walking and cycling promotions
BMX Stunt Show
Livable City Sculpture building - public participation activity
Children's cycle skills zone

11am - Free Walking Tour - Trinity College
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.
Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
College Green/Dame Street, Dublin 2
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Develop public bicycle hiring and sharing systems
  • Improvement of bicycle facilities (parking, locks etc)
  • Create or enlarge pedestrian streets
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
  • Extension or creation of new greenways
