Ahmetbey, Kırklareli organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2019, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
07:30 The public transport of Ahmetbey Municipality will provide free public transportation for citizens and students during the European Mobility Week.
09:30 The opening ceremony of the European Mobility Week will be held with the participation of the students studying in the Town of Ahmetbey.
12:30 Information meeting on European Mobility Week will be held with the companies that provide public transportation services, school administrators and teachers in Ahmetbey Town, and the topics related to the implementation of new practices which will increase and encourage the use of public transportation and bicycles will be discussed.
The topics relating to the schools carrying out sporting events and trainings in accordance with the theme of the European Mobility Week, and the issues of art competition will be discussed at the meeting.
17 September
10:00 The stands that will be exhibited where the paintings and handmade products that prepared by young people and students will be introduced to citizens.

10:00 Free bicycle maintenance and repair service for children and young people will be provided by Ahmetbey Municipality.
18 September
12:30 Dance performances will be held in Ankara by the local dance group of Ahmetbey Municipality by visiting the Association of Municipalities of Turkey and the National Coordinator of the European Mobility Week.
19 September
12:00 The safe use of pedestrian paths and bicycle path usage training will be given to young people and children by Ahmetbey Municipality Police Department officials.
The city roads and bicycle paths will be painted with the theme of 2019 so-called “Safe Walking and Cycling” by young people and children, and security signs will be placed accordingly.
20 September
12:00 Walking and cycling activities will be held together with citizens, young people and children living in Ahmetbey Town by being closed a 1.8 km road to vehicle traffic on Atatürk Street and Fatih Street in order to draw attention and raising awareness to the theme of Safe walking and Cycling.

13:00 Free health services will be established at the stands and free health checks will be performed by healthy eating specialist doctors and by doing so, citizens will be warned to walk for a healthy life.
21 September
11:00 With young people living in Ahmetbey Town, awareness relating to the topic of “Safe Walk” that is suitable to the theme of 2019 will be increased by being organized the international event named “we are walking for peace” from Edirne (border city of Turkey) to the town of Kastanies (border city of Greece).
The two national borders will be crossed on foot.
22 September
11:00-20:00 Within the scope of the “Car Free Day” event, Atatürk Street and Fatih Street will be closed to vehicle traffic, and young people and children will be entertained with various activities in the stands and event tents that will be set up.
