The participant is committed to:

Organising a week of activities, taking into account the focal theme.
16 September
Α. Starting the European mobility week by presenting the sustainable urban mobility plan.
Β. "Learning about electric bikes", during the event atendees will watch how electric bikes work and have the chance to make a ride across the newly marked route that begins at the professional high school and ends at the ​​workers' housing area.
17 September
traffic education seminars for parents from traffic police departement and the environmental education center
18 September
We will walk with the health runners club across the newly signposted route from the professional high school till the ​​​​workers' housing area.
19 September
Hiking and yoga at the suburban forest "kastraki" with the health runners club and the "treehealth yoga school"
20 September
"kids athletics" in collaboration with local athletic clubs.
21 September
"coloring zebra crossings" in collaboration with the associations of parents and guardians associations we will colour the zebra crossings outside of elementary schools

Zone opened to residents.
Carrying out a Car-Free Day event by closing one or more streets to traffic, and opening it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport. This should preferably happen on 22 September to mark your town or city as part of World Car-Free Day.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day: Makedonomachon and fardykampou street will be closed to traffic. These two roads have been proposed by the sustainable urban mobility plan to be pedestrianised. Street Musicians will entertain us.
Implementing one or more new permanent measure(s), which contribute(s) to modal transfer from private car to environmentally sound means of transport.
Permanent measures implemented this year:
New or improved bicycle facilities
  • Improvement of bicycle network (creation of new lanes, extension, renovation, signposting etc)
  • Installation of charging points for e-bikes
  • Other: new certified play grounds, installation of outdoor fitness equipment, new green rest areas in town , graffity depicting a cyclist, new signposted path for bikers and pedestrians
  • Improvement of infrastructure (new foot bridges, pavements, road crossings, zebra crossings etc)
Traffic calming and access control scheme
  • Speed reduction programmes in zones near schools
  • Create useful tool for people with reduced mobility
  • Other: new parking locations for people with reduced mobility
