Launch of the European Mobility Week by the Mayor and Council

Bike-learning sessions for children and adults.
Online campaign launch including 5K challenge, the promotion of locals using zero emissions for their every day routines, treasure hunting by bike and walking.

Safety educational and awareness campaign at Zejtun skate park amongst children and young people.

Iż-Żejtun carries out a Car-Free Day 2020 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The roads leading to the Main Piazza of Zejtun will be closed off and given back to the public for Car-Free Day to be held on Monday 21st September. The roads are Triq il-Madonna tal-Bon Kunsill, Misrah Girgor Bonici, and Misrah ir-Repubblika.
