Tripolis organises activities during EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2020, taking into account the annual theme.

16 September
Bike tour through the forests in and around the city of Tripolis. Bikers kick off from the green strip of Agios Georgios and, riding through the forest paths, reach the University of Peloponnese. The green strip of Panarkades is the next stop before bikers reach Kartsova, their final destination, where the Municipality serves delicious treats to them. AEK Tripolis, Bike Group of Tripolis, and EOS (Hellenic Mountaineering Association) lead the way.
17 September
Zebra crossings day 1: Primary school pupils learn about mobility measures and good practices while drawing zebra crossings in front of their schools with the support and guidance of the social and cultural SCE 5ENTE.
18 September
Zebra crossings day 2: Primary school pupils learn about mobility measures and good practices while drawing zebra crossings in front of their schools with the support and guidance of the social and cultural SCE 5ENTE.

Pupils also meet famous football players of the A league local football team “ASTERAS”; they play and are photographed with them.
19 September
Green mobility for all. Citizens are introduced and acquainted to the latest zero-emission mobility trends. E-scooters and e-bikes are accessible to all.
20 September
Educational day at the park for traffic training. Children play, learn and are informed by the Local Police Station how to safely drive a bike in the city at the park specifically constructed and signposted for traffic training. Mobility awareness and mobility training are at the core of the action.
21 September
We learn about our city on foot. Citizens was around the neighbourhoods of the city and are introduced to the history of landmarks and other important buildings.
22 September
Mobility actions organised by the Association of People with Disabilities of the prefecture of Arcadia and the Laboratory for Vocational Training of Mantineia.

Street music. Local musicians, under the kind offer and direction of Vassilis Georgakopoulos, reach the cultural centre Malliaropouleion, from different locations of the city on foot, by bike, by e-bike and by e-car bringing their own instruments along so as to ecologically celebrate the closing of the EMW with a live open-air concert.

Car-free day Car-free day

Tripolis carries out a Car-Free Day 2020 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
All roads surrounding the city centre in Agios Vassilis square will be closed: Washington Str., Ethnomartyron Str., Ethnikis Antistaseos Str., and Georgiou A' Str.
