16 September
All week without cars on “Unirii” street. A central street closed to traffic and dedicated to pedestrians, cyclists, skaters, roller-skaters, scooter riders. Awareness campaign on safe biking in traffic.

Car-free day Car-free day

Tulcea carries out a Car-Free Day 2021 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
One central street will be closed to traffic between 16th and 22nd of September (Unirii street). It will be dedicated to pedestrians, cyclists, skaters, roller-skaters, scooter riders. An obstacle course designed to help kids learn bike safety skills will be installed on the street. Traffic police officers will do awareness campaigns and practical demonstrations on rules and regulations for safe biking in traffic. On 22nd of September (6 P.M.) a Critical Mass bike ride will depart from this street.
