STEPtember - Kildare Walking Month continues throughout EU Mobility Week. Walk along any of our waterway routes. The challenge is simple! Complete 6 out of 15 stages of either the Grand Canal, Royal Canal or the Barrow Way. You ca complete your walks on days and times that suit you. Organised by the Kildare Sports Partnership and Supported by Kildare County Council

Kildare County Council (Comhairle Contae Chill Dara) carries out a Car-Free Day 2022 and closes off one or more streets to traffic, and opens it to pedestrians, cyclists and public transport.

Zone opened to residents on Car-Free Day:
The Naas - Sallins Canal Route is closed to vehicular traffic each Sunday to allow for a Car Free Day.
