FLEXYMOB - The innovative and safe transport solution that simplifies the mobility of communities
Mobility as a Service (MaaS) should be a common household name, whereas MaaC, which stands for Mobility as a Community, is a novel model that is promoted by Flexymob. The aim is to put communities at the centre of the project is fundamental, as starting from the analysis of their needs, a personalized and tailor-made mobility solution, which is developed to be fully customisable for any community with specific mobility needs. Whereas MaaS solutions are often aggregators that aim to be profitable in the large urban centres of Europe, Flexymob represents new reference model for the future of mobility. It aims at a shared and sustainable mobility that encourages people to abandon old habits in favour of a new innovative way of moving, for the benefit of citizens, and more respectful towards the planet.
Its business model includes three areas of expertise: commuting, events and leisure. Thus, the app provides more than just mobility and offers its customers, such as event organisers, a wider customer base. The commuting aspect follows the ‘traditional’ MaaS solutions with the addition to include car-sharing and -pooling. Lastly, the leisure aspects aims to integrate tourist packages with (sustainable) mobility.
