MovilizaTEA promotes sustainable mobility and inclusion for people with ASD and cognitive difficulties in Castile and León.
MovilizaTEA is an innovative initiative that promotes sustainable mobility and strengthens the social participation of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and cognitive difficulties in Castile and León.
It aims to create a more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable environment by increasing autonomy, ensuring safer travel, encouraging public transport use, fostering environmental awareness, and raising understanding of ASD among society and transport professionals. Supported by the EDP Foundation through the EDP Energía Solidaria programme, the project takes action on two main fronts:
Empowering individuals: Providing people with ASD with tailored, cognitively accessible resources to support safe, independent bus use and active participation in daily mobility.
Improving the system: Enhancing public transport to be more accessible through adaptations, awareness campaigns, and training—reducing stigma, fostering empathy, and creating a more supportive travel experience.
