3rd Intergenerational Meeting for Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility Spain

18 September - 18 October 2025

On 18 September 2025, during European Mobility Week, El Palau d’Anglesola celebrated a special day organised jointly by Arnau Berenguer School, the Association Amics de Ca la Cileta, the Town Council of El Palau d’Anglesola, and the Ca la Cileta Retirement Home.

Schoolchildren travelled by scooter and bicycle to the retirement home, where they read a manifesto advocating for safe, sustainable, and inclusive mobility for everyone. Afterwards, members of the Association Amics de Ca la Cileta, together with residents using wheelchairs and the adapted tricycle Trileta, joined a parade along the newly built cycle lane. The route passed through the Children’s and Adolescents’ Rights Park, symbolising the importance of accessible spaces for people of all ages.

As in previous years, the town’s electric vehicle fleet also took part — including two electric vans and a shared car available to the entire community — highlighting the municipality’s ongoing commitment to sustainable transport.

Back at the school, pupils and residents shared conversations about mobility and how games and ways of getting around have changed over time. The event concluded with each resident receiving a certificate of recognition.

The highlight of this year’s edition was the inauguration of the new cycle lane, encouraging its use by children, older adults, people with reduced mobility, and anyone who wishes to move safely and sustainably. In line with the 2025 theme, “Mobility for Everyone,” the activity underscored that inclusive mobility is a right for the whole community.
