Detailed description (English): Our school celebrated World Car-Free Day by transforming the daily commute into a joyful community-building experience that promoted sustainable mobility and environmental responsibility. On this occasion, families and students were encouraged to leave their cars at home and walk to school together. To add a festive and creative dimension, participants decorated scooters, bicycles, and strollers with recycled materials.
Throughout the morning, students engaged in classroom discussions and short interactive presentations about air pollution, carbon footprint, and the impact of individual actions on urban mobility. Data on participation were collected to analyse the environmental benefit of the initiative and to establish an annual benchmark. The event created a positive, collective atmosphere that fostered pride, reflection, and a shared sense of responsibility—proving that small-scale changes can generate meaningful cultural habits.
