Detailed description (English): Description: Noise is the second biggest environmental threat to health in Europe. At least one in five Europeans is exposed to noise levels that are harmful to their health. With 20% of the EU population experiencing excessive noise levels, the most disturbing of which comes from road, rail and air traffic, sustainable and active mobility offers key solutions to help combat this invisible health hazard . But what is being done to minimize this invisible threat to our health? The European Environmental Noise Directive is designed to help cities identify and reduce noise pollution levels.
A sound map, also known as an acoustic map, noise map or strategic noise map, is a technique that is carried out to find out the sound conditions of an area, neighborhood or city. You can show, for example, what an industrial zone, an airport, a busy street, a nightclub or an entire city sounds like. The ultimate purpose would be to know the noise pollution of a given area. But, beyond this type of map, we find another proposal for sound maps that are somewhat different, more interactive, understood as a set of sound files presented in an interactive map format (soundmaps or soundscapes).
In order to make this Directive known to the public, the realization of a pilot soundscape of the territory is proposed, elaborated in a participatory way among the population. For this, an information campaign will be carried out on social networks, inviting the population to send audio clips together with the location of the same, to create a soundscape of the territory.

Target group(s): All the citizens
Objectives: Publicize the European Directive on environmental noise.
Sensitize the population about the problem of environmental noise and the health benefits derived from eliminating excessive noise levels.
