Detailed description (English): The M-30 tunnels are Europe's longest urban tunnels and, at the same time, little is known about them in terms of road safety. Raising children's awareness about road safety should be of the utmost importance, especially when it comes to an incredible piece of engineering such as this, which has led to a reduction in C02 levels in Madrid as well as the creation of a new green lung in the capital: Madrid Río.
That's why we came up with Trenty, our Road Safety Manager in the M-30 tunnels. An entertaining character who teaches students values with a view to preventing risks, safety attitudes, respect for others and the environment. What's more, as an expert in tunnels, it teaches them how to drive through them.
We visit schools within the Community of Madrid to impart this knowledge to pupils so that they go on to become responsible drivers in the future.
The methodology is practical and calls on different types of materials (printed, audiovisual, etc....)
Our project is aimed at children from 7 to 10 years old who learn through play. Playing sparks curiosity and the capacity to be filled with wonder, which are fundamental when it comes to learning.
In this context, and with the help of Trenty, we organised a treasure hunt around Madrid Rio as part of European Mobility Week. A family activity whose objective was to raise awareness among children and their families with regard to the importance of sport, health and sustainable mobility in a green and safe environment.

Objectives: Our key objectives are:
- To get students involved in safety and mobility and to give them the chance to express their doubts in an active environment where students and teachers interact.
- To teach children the importance of being aware of and applying good practices in road safety and sustainable mobility in our day-to-day life so that, in the future, they become responsible adults who adopt habits and attitudes that decrease the number of accidents and pollution levels in our community alike.
- To prevent accidents and undesirable situations as well as to help children learn to live better in society.
- To foster and guarantee respect and preservation of one's own life and those of others on public roads and to raise awareness of the rules and driving conduct in the M-30 tunnels.
