Detailed description (English): The initiative involves a process of engaging the main stakeholders in the field of mobility and transportation, starting with the territorial authorities of the wider area, within a participatory process aimed at improving mobility in suburban areas and making it safe and sustainable.
The project specifically aims to define, in collaboration with the Metropolitan City of Turin and the Provinces, decision-making criteria that will lead to identifying a framework of strategic interventions for suburban road networks aligned with regional objectives, actively involving the territory to gather experiences and needs.
In order to establish shared decision-making criteria, the project intends to start from a multi-modal approach, integrating road networks, public transport, and cycling mobility to improve accessibility, safety, and reduce territorial disparities.
Detailed description (original language): L'azione consiste in un percorso di coinvolgimento dei principali stakeholders in materia di mobilità e trasporti, a partire dagli enti territoriali di area vasta, nell’ambito di un processo partecipativo finalizzato a migliorare la mobilità delle aree extraurbane e renderla sicura e sostenibile.
Il progetto mira in particolare a definire, in condivisione con la Città Metropolitana di Torino e le Province, criteri decisionali che porteranno ad individuare un quadro di interventi strategici per la viabilità extraurbana allineati agli obiettivi regionali, coinvolgendo attivamente il territorio per raccogliere esperienze e necessità.
Al fine di definire criteri decisionali condivisi, il progetto intende partire da un approccio multi-modale, integrando viabilità, trasporto pubblico e mobilità ciclabile, per migliorare accessibilità, sicurezza e ridurre le disparità territoriali

Objectives: The project represents an opportunity to build a shared vision together, initiate a constructive dialogue, and lay the foundation for effective collaboration among institutions within the regional mobility system, with the aim to:
• Enhance what has already been planned and programmed at the regional level, integrating the existing knowledge framework with experiences, needs, and proposals emerging from the local areas;
• Define shared criteria for identifying sustainable and safe mobility interventions that support the implementation of strategies consistent with regional planning;
• Provide tools to the intermediate-level authorities to assess the consistency of their sustainable and safe mobility planning with the Region’s objectives, promoting an integrated and multimodal approach.
