Detailed description (English): Our school, Colegiul National Liviu Rebreanu in Bistrița, is committed to encouraging students to embrace a sustainable lifestyle and make small, everyday changes that help preserve the planet’s resources for current and future generations. We believe it is essential for students to engage in practical activities that allow them to reflect on their responsibilities as environmentally conscious global citizens. Making these actions visible is important, as it helps raise awareness and inspires others to adopt more sustainable habits.
During this week, we will host activities both inside and outside the classroom that focus on sustainable mobility and ways to improve urban life. Students will explore the importance of conserving natural resources, understand climate change, and learn how to use public spaces responsibly. They will create posters, videos, and messages to promote sustainable mobility, which will be shared on the school’s website and social media channels.
In addition, we will join our municipality’s “Walk for Your City” initiative, contributing to the challenge by using an application to count our steps and help our city compete for the title of Most Active City. Students and teachers are encouraged to come to school and return home by bike, on foot, or using public transport if they live further away.
The week will conclude with a school-wide march, involving students, teachers, and staff, to celebrate and advocate for a greener, more sustainable future.
