Detailed description (English): CERCIAG EM MOVIMENTO is an annual event of great relevance and impact for the Municipality of Águeda and the entire Aveiro Region, bringing together thousands of participants from various parts of the country. This initiative is a powerful tool for raising social awareness, defending the rights of people with disabilities and promoting equal opportunities. At the same time, it seeks to foster more sustainable, civic, and inclusive mobility, aligned with the contemporary challenges of modern societies.
As part of the European Mobility Week celebrations, the 23rd edition of CERCIAG EM MOVIMENTO is scheduled for September 19, 2025, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, at Largo 1º de Maio and along the main arteries of the city of Águeda. The areas where the event will take place will transform into a vibrant, dynamic space, where coexistence, discovery, and movement come together to challenge society to rethink boundaries, embrace difference, and build, step by step, a truly accessible community for all. The program will include 55 activities spread throughout the city's downtown area (activities in the areas of sports and adventure, culture, environmental awareness and sustainable mobility, citizenship, health and well-being, sensitivity to gender equality and violence), adapted sensory and sports experiences promoting barrier-free participation and the implementation of awareness-raising actions on sustainable mobility and universal accessibility.
Detailed description (original language): O CERCIAG EM MOVIMENTO é um evento anual de grande relevância e impacto para o Concelho de Águeda e para toda a Região de Aveiro, reunindo milhares de participantes de diversos pontos do País. Esta iniciativa assume-se como um poderoso instrumento de sensibilização social, defendendo os direitos das pessoas com deficiência e promovendo a igualdade de oportunidades. Paralelamente, procura fomentar uma mobilidade mais sustentável, cívica e inclusiva, alinhada com os desafios contemporâneos das sociedades modernas.
Integrado nas celebrações da Semana Europeia da Mobilidade, a 23ª edição do CERCIAG EM MOVIMENTO está agendada para 19 de Setembro de 2025, entre as 10h00 e as 17h00, no Largo 1º de Maio e nas principais artérias da Cidade de Águeda. As zonas onde decorrerá o evento vão-se transformar num vibrante espaço dinâmico, onde o convívio, a descoberta e o movimento se unem para desafiar a sociedade a repensar limites, a abraçar a diferença e a construir, passo a passo, uma comunidade verdadeiramente acessível para todos/as.
O programa incluirá a realização de 55 actividades distribuídas pela baixa da Cidade (actividades nas áreas do desporto e aventura, cultura, sensibilização ambiental e mobilidade sustentável, cidadania, saúde e bem-estar, sensibilidade para a igualdade de género e violência), experiências sensoriais e desportivas adaptadas promovendo a participação sem barreiras e a realização de acções de sensibilização sobre mobilidade sustentável e acessibilidade universal.

– Align the event with today’s societal challenges related to sustainability and accessibility.
– Temporarily transform the urban space into a welcoming and accessible place for all.
– Foster social interaction and a sense of community based on respect and inclusion.
– Promote activities that engage citizens of all ages and abilities.
– Include educational actions in areas such as citizenship, gender equality, health, well-being, and environmental awareness.
– Create a celebratory atmosphere where diversity is embraced as an asset.
– Show that everyone has something valuable to contribute to society, regardless of their limitations.
