Detailed description (English): The Ploiești Public Transport Open Days is an event organised by TransPloiești, with the support of Ploiești City Hall and SC Transport Călători Express Ploiești SA, as part of the European Mobility Week 2025. Taking place on 20–21 September, the event highlights the importance of sustainable public transport and its role in shaping the city’s future. Historic vehicles such as the Neoplan N6121 trolleybus (#5911), the Rocar 312E (#5205), and the Ikarus 280 bus (#2160) will be displayed alongside the modern fleet currently in operation. Each vehicle will feature an information panel with technical details and historical background, offering visitors an educational journey through the evolution of mobility in Ploiești. Depending on technical feasibility, special rides with the Rocar and Ikarus will allow participants to experience public transport as it was decades ago. By combining education, heritage, and awareness, the project seeks not only to promote sustainable mobility, but also to underline the cultural value of public transport, laying the foundation for a future Public Transport Museum in Ploiești.
Detailed description (original language): Zilele Transportului Public din Ploiești este un eveniment organizat de TransPloiești, cu sprijinul Primăriei Municipiului Ploiești și al SC Transport Călători Express Ploiești SA, în cadrul Săptămânii Europene a Mobilității 2025. Evenimentul se va desfășura pe 20–21 septembrie și își propune să evidențieze importanța transportului public durabil și rolul acestuia în dezvoltarea viitoare a orașului. Vehicule istorice precum troleibuzul Neoplan N6121 (#5911), Rocar 312E (#5205) și autobuzul Ikarus 280 (#2160) vor fi expuse alături de flota modernă aflată astăzi în circulație. Fiecare vehicul va avea un panou cu date tehnice și informații istorice, oferind vizitatorilor o experiență educativă despre evoluția mobilității în Ploiești. În funcție de posibilitățile tehnice, se vor organiza curse speciale cu Rocarul și Ikarusul, readucând atmosfera transportului de altădată. Prin educație, patrimoniu și conștientizare, proiectul urmărește nu doar promovarea mobilității durabile, ci și valorizarea culturală a transportului public, punând bazele viitorului Muzeu al Transportului din Ploiești.
