Detailed description (English): The EU Youth Cinema: Green Deal invites everyone to look towards a sustainable future in our cities through green mobility in ‘shared public spaces’. The project raises awareness for the EU climate strategy and focusses on the European dialogues and stays politically neutral and democratic. Our mission is to bring the green agenda to young citizens through films and discussions in cinemas and a multilingual streaming platform with a strong didactic narrative available at www.euyc.green.
The streaming programme for registered school classes:
UTOPIA REVISITED (AT 2017) by Kurt Langbein shows how creativity and a sense of community can change society. For example, the housing project Kalkbreite managed to reduce the average annual CO2 emissions pp. from 3 tonnes to 1 tonne in just three years. The film is available free of charge for registered schools on www.euyc.green, starting in September.
