Detailed description (English): The "Haute Ecole Robert Schuman" organizes a "Repair Café" every fourth Sunday of each month. But, what is it ?
- A local, non-political, and volunteer citizen initiative;
- A place where we repair broken items together instead of throwing them away;
- A helping hand between citizens: tools and volunteer repairers are there to help saving computers equipments, electronics, household appliances, small furnitures, clothing, bicycles, and other defective or damaged items;
- A moment of meeting: an opportunity to get to know each other, in a friendly atmosphere.
During the Repair Café in September, during the Mobility Week, the theme was obviously bicycle repair. For the occasion, volunteer repairers who are well-versed in bicycle mechanical issues came expressly for it. The Repair Café also took place in our new building. It was an opportunity to celebrate this inauguration with a more festive and friendly moment !
Detailed description (original language): La Haute Ecole Robert Schuman organise chaque quatrième dimanche de chaque moi un Repair Café.
Qu'est-ce qu'un Repair Café :
- Une initiative citoyenne locale, apolitique et bénévole ;
- Un endroit où l’on répare ensemble les objets cassés au lieu de les jeter ;
- Un coup de main entre citoyens : des outils et des réparateurs bénévoles sont là pour
vous aider à sauver vos appareils informatiques, électroniques, électroménagers, petits
mobiliers, vêtements, vélos et autres objets défectueux ou abîmés ;
- Un moment de rencontre : une occasion de faire connaissance autour d’un verre ou d’une
tarte, dans une ambiance conviviale
Lors du Repair Café de septembre pendant la semaine de la mobilité, le thème était bien évidemment la réparation vélo. Pour l'occasion, des réparateurs bénévoles qui connaissent bien les soucis mécaniques d'un vélo, sont venus expressément à cette occasion. le Repair Café avait également lieu dans nos nouveaux locaux. L'occasion de marquer le coup pour cette inauguration avec un moment plus festif et convivial !

To have a great time interacting with other people.
To avoid stupid wastes;

Partner: This event was organized in partnership with the municipality of Libramont and Idelux Environment, an organization managing waste sorting in Belgium. On this occasion, five local associations focused on second-hand goods.
Each time we had this event, we need to gather some volunteers for repairing;
