Detailed description (English): European Mobility Week will once again be marked on 19 September 2025 by the 3rd-grade students of the Commercial and Trade School Split and their mentors, Marija Istenić and Ivana Čota, through the activity “How Do We Get Around?” – Survey and Results Presentation.
Students will design and conduct a survey among their peers on ways of commuting to school – by bicycle, car, bus, or on foot. After collecting the data, they will create graphs, analyze results, and prepare a short report to present to the class. They will reflect on the ecological and economic meaning of the data and discuss how sustainable mobility could be encouraged. The activity will connect entrepreneurship and the Croatian language, helping students develop multiple competences at the same time.
The activity will include designing questions, carrying out the survey, processing results and creating graphs, followed by writing a report and presenting it. Each group will share its findings and conclusions on sustainable mobility.
It is expected that students will strengthen research and analytical skills, teamwork, and presentation abilities, while also raising awareness of sustainable commuting. Through research, entrepreneurial thinking, and language practice, they will gain a deeper sense of responsible behavior in traffic and its impact on the environment. Alongside practical skills in surveying, data processing, and public speaking, they will be encouraged to reflect on their own commuting habits and possible changes that support healthier lifestyles and environmental protection.
Tijek aktivnosti predviđa osmišljavanje pitanja, provedbu ankete, obradu rezultata i izradu grafova, a zatim pisanje izvještaja i prezentaciju.
Kroz istraživački rad, poduzetničko promišljanje i jezičnu obradu, učenici će spoznati širu važnost odgovornog ponašanja u prometu i utjecaja na okoliš.
