Detailed description (English): As part of the European Mobility Weeks, a bicycle action for better and safer cycling will take place on September 21 from 2 pm, just like last year. Bad Windsheim is to become more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly with cycle lanes, pictograms and more 30 km/h speed limits. To this end, the town's cycling concept is to be implemented in the near future. The cycle paths bordering Bad Windsheim must also be made attractive. Last but not least, the State Garden Show is approaching, so it is important not to lose sight of cycling here either. There could be an admission discount for people who arrive by bike and train. Sufficient bicycle parking spaces must also be created.
The “Rad Windsheim” group and the district group of the VCD cordially invite all cyclists to take part, preferably with the whole family. The starting point is the station forecourt in Bad Windsheim. The approx. 7 km long route runs right through Bad Windsheim - and ends in the town center. Action stands on the subject of "Shared Public Space" with a bike service, painting competition and exciting information boards invite you to exchange ideas afterwards.
Detailed description (original language): Im Rahmen der Europäischen Mobilitätswochen findet am 21. September ab 14 Uhr wie im letzten Jahr eine Fahrraddemo für besseren und sichereren Radverkehr statt. Mit Radstreifen, Piktogrammen und mehr Tempo 30 soll Bad Windsheim fahrrad- und fußgängerfreundlich werden. Dazu soll das städtische Radverkehrskonzept zeitnah umgesetzt werden. Auch die an Bad Windsheim angrenzenden Radwege müssen attraktiv gestaltet werden. Nicht zuletzt naht die Landesgartenschau, deshalb gilt es auch hier, den Radverkehr nicht aus dem Blick zu verlieren. Für Menschen, die mit Rad und Bahn anreisen könnte es Eintrittsrabatt geben. Außerdem müssen ausreichend Fahrradparkplätze geschafften werden.
Die Gruppe „Rad Windsheim“ und die Kreisgruppe des VCD laden alle Radfahrenden, gerne mit der ganzen Familie, herzlich dazu ein. Startpunkt ist der Bahnhofsvorplatz in Bad Windsheim. Die ca. 7 km lange Strecke verläuft quer durch Bad Windsheim – und endet in der Stadtmitte. Aktionsstände rund ums Thema "Straßenraum gemeinsam nutzen" mit Radservice, Malwettbewerb und spannenden Infotafeln laden zum anschließenden Austausch ein.
