Detailed description (English): The conference will take place on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, from 10:00 AM at ACI, Assembly Hall, Via Marsala 8, Rome. Registration is mandatory to access the hall.
The central theme will be bio methane: the renewable Italian fuel, here and now. A champion of the circular economy through reuse, it employs ready and traditionally Made in Italy technologies. The distribution and assistance network is mature and widespread, representing a strategic asset for the country.
If the future of mobility is to be 100% sustainable, biomethane is an optimal solution. A carbon-neutral fuel in terms of CO2 emissions and, in some cases, even carbon-negative, it is an ideal resource for vehicle propulsion. Its production has positive employment effects on the local territory and also contributes to energy independence. Whether blended or pure, compressed or liquefied, bio methane already replaces over 60% of fossil natural gas used in transportation without requiring modifications to the infrastructure or engines. It can therefore be used as fuel for private mobility, short and long-distance freight transport, and public transport. Thanks to retrofitting technologies, which are an Italian excellence, a vehicle powered by gasoline, diesel, or even electric hybrid can be converted to bio methane, now also with state incentives.
During the conference, the study "The Multiple Values of Bio methane for Sustainable Mobility," conducted by RIE, will be presented. On the occasion, a sample of the fleet of hybrid Fiat Panda cars converted to bio methane will be on display.
Detailed description (original language): Il convegno "Biometano per la mobilità sostenibile: l’evoluzione green del motore a combustione interna", organizzato con il sostegno del Consorzio CEM e di Ecomotive Solutions, si svolgerà mercoledì 18 settembre 2024 dalle ore 10.00 presso ACI, sala Assemblea, via Marsala 8, Roma. Registrazione obbligatoria.
Tema centrale il biometano. Campione di economia circolare all’insegna del riuso, utilizza tecnologie pronte. La rete di distribuzione e assistenza è matura e capillare e rappresenta un asset strategico del Paese.
Se il futuro della mobilità deve essere 100% sostenibile, il biometano è una soluzione ottimale. Carburante neutro in termini di emissioni di CO2 e in alcuni casi carbon-negative, rappresenta una risorsa ideale per l’autotrazione. Miscelato o in purezza, compresso o liquefatto, il biometano sostituisce già oggi oltre il 60% del gas naturale fossile erogato in autotrazione senza richiedere modifiche, né all'infrastruttura, né ai motori. Può quindi essere usato come carburante per la mobilità privata, il trasporto merci su brevi e lunghe distanze e il trasporto pubblico. Grazie alle tecnologie di retrofitting, un veicolo alimentato a benzina, ma anche diesel, oppure ibrido elettrico, può essere trasformato a biometano, oggi anche con incentivo statale. Nel corso dell'evento verrà presentato lo studio “Le molteplici valenze del biometano per una mobilità sostenibile” condotto da RIE. In esposizione un esemplare della flotta di Fiat Panda ibride trasformate a biometano.
