Detailed description (English): As part of the European Mobility Week 2025, on 19 September, second-year Economics students of the High Vocational School ban Josip Jelačić, under the mentorship of Entrepreneurship teacher Nada Ratković, will participate in an activity entitled “Eco-Entrepreneurship Challenge – Youth Driving Change.” The activity links sustainable mobility, air quality, and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to reflect on how their initiatives can contribute to a greener and healthier future.
The workshop begins with an introductory presentation on the goals of European Mobility Week, examples of green start-ups, and a discussion on the connection between traffic, air pollution, and health. Students then analyze traffic patterns and air quality data or conduct a short field study. Back in the classroom, they work in teams to design a business model or mobile application promoting sustainable mobility. Each idea must include a name, slogan, target group, and a visual element such as a poster, app sketch, or promotional video.
Possible projects include an app that rewards users for “green kilometers,” a school bike-sharing service, an eco-taxi start-up, or a promotional campaign “Step by Step Towards a Healthier City.” After developing their ideas, teams present them in a short pitch to a jury, which provides feedback, and the best project is awarded a symbolic eco-prize and the certificate “Young Eco-Entrepreneurs.”
This activity fosters critical thinking, creativity, teamwork, and communication skills while giving students practical experience in connecting entrepreneurship with env
Detailed description (original language): U sklopu Europskog tjedna mobilnosti 2025., dana 19. rujna, učenici drugog razreda smjera ekonomist Srednje strukovne škole bana Josipa Jelačića, uz mentorstvo profesorice Poduzetništva Nade Ratković, sudjelovat će u aktivnosti pod nazivom „Eko-poduzetnički izazov – Mladi mijenjaju mobilnost“. Aktivnost povezuje održivu mobilnost, kvalitetu zraka i razvoj poduzetničkih ideja te potiče učenike da razmišljaju kako njihove inicijative mogu doprinijeti zelenijoj i zdravijoj budućnosti.
Radionica započinje uvodnom prezentacijom o ciljevima Europskog tjedna mobilnosti, primjerima zelenih start-upova i raspravom o povezanosti prometa, zagađenja zraka i zdravlja ljudi.
Nakon razrade ideja, timovi ih predstavljaju kroz kratki pitch pred žirijem, a najbolja ideja osvaja simboličnu eko-nagradu i certifikat „Mladi eko-poduzetnici“.
Ova aktivnost potiče kritičko razmišljanje, kreativnost i timski rad te učenicima daje priliku da praktično povežu znanje iz poduzetništva s aktualnim ekološkim izazovima. Također jač
