Detailed description (English): For the #EuropeanMobilityWeek, the Pedestrian Rights Movement is promoting in Rome an Urban Walking Lab in the Quartiere Africano. A critical walk to:
Identify the obstacles faced by those who move on foot, in terms of accessibility, safety, dignity for everyone,
Exchange views on mobility choices and everyday experiences,
Imagine how the public space before us could be,
Make collective proposals to the administration that will be formally sent in a document, to foster urban transformation.
This moving urban lab is a space for research and sharing on the kind of mobility that should be a right accessible to everyone: Walking.

The first step to trigger change is to look around—and stop settling for less.
Target group(s): Civic associations, local institutional representatives, citizens.
Objectives: To raise awareness on walkability and accessibility unmet needs
To discuss the advantages of improved urban infrastructure for all citizens
To leverage current instruments for civic engagement and activism
To nudge institutions and make proposal for improving urban environment
