Detailed description (English): On the occasion of World Car-Free Day 2025, Gsped is promoting an internal initiative to raise awareness about the environmental impact of daily commuting. All employees will be encouraged not to use their private cars on September 22.
All employees are encouraged, if possible, to reach the workplace using alternative means of transport such as bicycles, trains, or public transport. If that is not feasible, smart working will be allowed for the day.
The company will share the initiative on its LinkedIn page with pictures and stories from participants, and will reward all involved with a small symbolic gift.
This marks the first step toward a longer-term reflection on more sustainable commuting options across the company.
Target group(s): Employees of Gsped SC, with indirect awareness raised among the business network
Objectives: The main objective of the initiative is to raise awareness among employees about the environmental impact of daily commuting and to promote a more sustainable approach to work-related mobility. Through this action, Gsped aims to encourage the use of alternative means of transport—such as bicycles, public transport, or trains—whenever feasible, while offering remote work as a practical solution for those who cannot avoid using a private car. This initiative reflects the company’s broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability. Furthermore, by sharing the action on its LinkedIn page and registering it with the European Mobility Week platform, Gsped intends to reinforce both internal engagement and external visibility, stimulating dialogue and reflection on how everyday choices—both personal and organisational—can contribute to reducing carbon emissions.
