Detailed description (English): General Objective:
The general objective of SUMP Kocaeli is to contribute to livability and sustainability in Kocaeli by providing safer, cleaner, accessible and affordable mobility in accordance with EU standards.
Objective:
The main objective of SUMP Koaceli is to increase the quality of transportation infrastructure and services; reduce the need for individual vehicle transportation, reduce the impact on the environment and reduce energy consumption in transportation activities; provide optimum accessibility and provide access to transportation infrastructures and services for all people.
This project also aims to promote forward-looking, long-term and collaborated city planning and development through the sustainability dimensions of Kocaeli under SUMP. With SUMP we'll transform Kocaeli as a fair, sustainable, barrier-free, safe and clean global city with an affordable, accessible, intelligent, and uninterrupted mobility while respecting and preserving its natural environment.

SUMP Kocaeli'nin genel amacı, Avrupa Birliği standartlarına uygun, daha güvenli, daha temiz, erişilebilir ve uygun fiyatlı mobilite sağlayarak Kocaeli ilinde yaşanabilirliğe ve sürdürülebilirliğe katkıda bulunmaktır.
Hedef:
SUMP Kocaeli'nin temel amacı, ulaşım altyapısı ve hizmetlerinin kalitesini artırmak; bireysel araç ulaşımına olan ihtiyacı azaltmak, çevre üzerindeki etkiyi azaltmak ve ulaşım faaliyetlerinde enerji tüketimini azaltmak; optimum erişilebilirlik sağlamak ve tüm insanlar için ulaşım altyapılarına ve hizmetlerine erişim sağlamaktır.
Bu proje ayrıca SUMP kapsamında Kocaeli'nin sürdürülebilirlik boyutları aracılığıyla ileriye dönük, uzun vadeli ve iş birliği yapılmış şehir planlama ve gelişimini teşvik etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. SUMP ile Kocaeli'yi doğal çevresine saygı duyarak ve onu koruyarak uygun fiyatlı, erişilebilir, akıllı ve kesintisiz bir hareketliliğe sahip adil, sürdürülebilir, engelsiz, güvenli ve temiz bir küresel şehir haline getireceğiz.
